We’re not in a hurry.

Bosque Refugio is a sanctuary for mothers and the earth — rooted in Central Florida, reaching wherever healing is needed.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on 5.25 acres of living land in Oviedo, Florida.

We work at the intersection of two things the world tends to neglect together: the wellbeing of mothers, and the health of the earth. We believe they are the same conversation.

Through nature-based education for children, wellness retreats for mothers, and a community rooted in regenerative practice — we are building something that doesn’t exist yet. A refuge that grows.

A forest is not made of one type of tree.

Not all trees fruit the same.

Some bloom early. Some take decades.

Some never fruit at all —

and still give shade,

still clean the air,

still hold the soil together.

A forest is an ecosystem.

So is motherhood.

We are here for all of it —

every kind of mother, every kind of love,

every kind of loss.

The ones raising children.

The ones who couldn’t.

The ones still trying.

The ones who mother everyone around them

and have no one mothering them back.

This forest has room for all of you.

Women's Retreats

A place to put the weight down. Nature-based, ancestrally rooted, and designed for women who have been holding everything for everyone else.

Community Circles

Mothers gathering in real life, on real land. No agenda except presence, connection, and the particular relief of being understood.

Nature Nurturer's Club

Children learning to tend the earth — because the next generation of stewards is already here, waiting to be shown how.

Workshops & Gatherings

Foraging, cooking, building, growing. Practical skills woven with the understanding that how we care for land is how we care for each other.

This began as a personal need.

Ana Orvieto founded Bosque Refugio in honor of her grandmother, Celina Refugio — on land she chose deliberately, in a language she refuses to leave behind.

She has spent 20 years directing some of the most complex institutions in the country. She brought all of that here, to this forest, for this purpose.
