There was a moment in my life when everything felt out of my control.

My mother and grandmother were both in the hospital, and I wasn’t allowed to be there with them. I remember feeling helpless—like all the love I had to give had nowhere to go. For months, I carried that weight, not knowing how to process it or where to place it.

At some point, something shifted. I realized I had a choice: I could stay in that feeling, or I could turn it into something meaningful.

That was the beginning of Bosque Refugio.

Becoming a mother at a young age had already pushed me into a journey of self-discovery. I had faced challenges that forced me to look inward, to understand patterns, to grow in ways I hadn’t expected. But through all of that, one thing was always clear—I needed community. I needed a space where I could be supported, where I could learn, and where I didn’t feel alone.

I couldn’t find that space, so I created it.

Bosque Refugio is more than a place. It’s a living, breathing community where mothers and children can come together to heal, grow, and reconnect—with themselves, each other, and the earth.

If you’ve ever felt like you needed a space like this, you’re not alone.

You’re exactly who this was created for.
